APPROVAL OF AN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM IMPACT FEE REIMBURSEMENTDescription In October 2011, an investigation by Sarasota County staff determined that impact fees in the amount of $12,444.55 had been assessed in error, and the county has subsequently reimbursed the home owner for the county's fees. This item will authorize the reimbursement of the $2,032.00 school impact fee, which also should not have been assessed.
Recommendation That the School Board authorize the reimbursement of the Educational System Impact Fee in the amount of $2,032.00 to Cheryl Leutholt.

10. APPROVAL OF THE CONTRACT FOR EDUCATIONAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND POSITIVE BEHAVIOR INTERVENTIONS, INC.Description Positive Behavior Interventions, Inc., will provide Board Certified Behavior Analyst to assist a team of severe social/emotional behavioral disordered students in developing and analyzing a plan to implement instructional programs.
Recommendation That the contract for behavioral intervention services between the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida, and Positive Behavioral Interventions, Inc., in the amount of $175,000, be approved as presented.
11. APPROVAL OF THE CONTRACT FOR SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST SERVICES BETWEEN THE SCHOOL BOARD OF SARASOTA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND KIM HARSHBARGER Description
Ms. Harshbarger will be providing Speech and Language therapy and evaluation services at districted schools based upon student need. These services are due to IEP requirements.

APPROVAL OF BOOKER MIDDLE'S CHORUS FIELD TRIP TO ATLANTA, GA, ON MARCH 29, 2012 THROUGH APRIL 1, 2012Description This trip will give the students the opportunity to perform in the National Choral Competition. A judge will work directly with the students and they will receive written feedback from this judge. This experience allows the students to bring new knowledge back to the classroom.

The committee of principals, SAC chairs, teachers, and parents is proposing a redistricting that would affect approximately 185 students beginning in the 2012-13 school year; rising Heron Creek 8th graders and their rising 6th and 7th grade siblings would be allowed to remain, with no transportation provided. A map of the proposed boundaries and the walking descriptions are attached.
